25th Anniversary Clothing Display Tags – Portland Taiko

Portland Taiko is a non-profit cultural group that aims to inform the community by performing taiko for events around the Portland metropolitan area.

Rough Draft

For the clothing tags, different styles from the past helped find the appropriate designs to create tags for their 25th Anniversary Exhibit clothing displays.

Director Kiyama wanted a cream-colored clothing tag that displayed information about Portland Taiko’s past uniforms for their 25th Anniversary Exhibit at the Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center.

In the past, certain members of the group created these intricate uniforms for the performers; the clothing tags helped describe who created/designed them, what they were, when it was debuted/designed, and how they were used.

Final Draft

The rough drafts of different styled tags were created in InDesign; depending on the decision, I was able to use similar features for the final draft.

Each of the tags had the following details: type of clothing, date, designer(s) and description.
